Description

The 23 m telescopic boom lift is a self-propelled, battery-powered aerial work platform: 24 000 mm maximum working height, 16 500 mm working range. We sell it as the HSJBZ23M-LI in the Jobanglift self-propelled series, alongside our 28m telescopic boom lift for taller envelopes. Façade and window crews, steel erectors, equipment installers and rental fleets order it for the same reason: straight-line outreach that a scissor lift or vertical mast simply cannot give.

What a 23 m working height is actually for

A 24 000 mm working height (22 150 mm platform height) covers typical six- to eight-storey façades, warehouse roofs, steel trusses and industrial plant maintenance with margin for the operator's working position. Because the turntable rotates 360° continuously, you can cover the whole envelope without driving the machine to a new position. That saves a lot of repositioning time on a long façade. If you work a six-storey building, the boom reaches the top of the wall, swings across to the next bay without the machine moving, and comes back down for material while the operator stays in the basket, which is exactly the cycle rental customers time with a stopwatch. And at 10 500 kg total weight, it is the lightest of the three telescopic models we build.

The 2 440 × 900 mm platform carries two operators with tools within the 300 kg unrestricted rating. Amplitude range is -5° to +75°, so the boom also works below grade, down to chassis level, for pits, basements and slope faces. It goes where the work is. For how machines of this class are deployed across industries, see the typical uses of aerial work platforms.

Full lithium power, zero emission

The HSJBZ23M-LI runs on a 420 Ah / 51.2 V lithium battery with an on-board 48 V / 35 A charger. Drive comes from a 3.3 kW / 48 V DC walking motor and a 10 kW / 32 V AC oil pump motor. There is no exhaust and almost no noise, which makes the machine suitable for indoor halls, food and pharmaceutical plants, shopping centres and other occupied or emission-sensitive sites. Battery care follows our aerial work platform maintenance guidance. On a two-shift plant the pack normally covers a full day on one charge, but we would rather calculate it against your duty cycle than quote a promise. We also fit a 12 V DC auxiliary power unit (emergency pump), so the platform comes down safely even if main power is lost.

Telescopic boom, outreach and dual capacity

The dual load rating (300 kg unrestricted across the full envelope, 460 kg in the limited zone) is enforced automatically by the machine controller based on boom angle and radius. Straight-line reach is the whole point here. Platform rotation of ±90° lets operators square the basket up against a wall or structure, and a 700 mm tail swing keeps the rear of the machine close to walls when slewing, which is compact for this class.

For logistics, the machine stows to 9 470 mm and shortens to a 7 150 mm transport length. That fits a standard trailer, with no special permit on most routes.

Chassis, terrain capability and travel

Gradeability is 45% (24°), with a 25% (14°) maximum lateral driving slope. Ramps, yard slopes and unfinished ground between work positions are handled confidently. Ground travel is 5.2 km/h in the stowed position and a controlled 0.6 km/h creep speed when raised. Turning radii are 5 450 mm (outer) and 2 600 mm (inner), the wheelbase is 2 530 mm, the hydraulic tank holds 75 L, and the machine rides on 16-315 tyres. Tight yards are not a problem.

Operation, control and safety

All boom and drive functions are proportionally controlled from the platform. Because the 360° turntable, ±90° platform rotation and -5° to +75° amplitude all move independently, an operator can put the basket on a window head, swing across to the reveal, drop to sill level and come back up without leaving the platform or repositioning the chassis. The 0.6 km/h creep speed keeps movement predictable with the boom extended. Set-up is quick: outriggers are not required on this class. We supply operator training and routine maintenance guidance with every machine, and we back the 12-month machine warranty with lifetime maintenance support and 24/7 remote technical assistance.

FAQ

Q1: How high can the 23 m telescopic boom lift actually reach?
A1: The HSJBZ23M-LI offers a 24 000 mm maximum working height and a 22 150 mm platform height, with a 16 500 mm working range. Because the turntable rotates 360° continuously, the whole envelope is covered without repositioning. If your site needs up-and-over reach instead of straight-line distance, and you would rather compare the two configurations on paper before committing a purchase order, an articulating boom platform is the better starting point.

Q2: What does the 300/460 kg dual load rating mean?
A2: The platform carries 300 kg anywhere in the full working envelope, typically two operators with tools. In the limited zone defined by boom angle and radius, the controller permits 460 kg for heavier material handling such as glazing panels or welding equipment. The machine enforces the limits automatically; see typical uses of aerial work platforms for matching load to task.

Q3: How is the machine powered and charged?
A3: A 420 Ah / 51.2 V lithium battery powers a 3.3 kW / 48 V DC drive motor and a 10 kW / 32 V AC pump motor, charged by the on-board 48 V / 35 A charger from a standard supply between shifts. Actual runtime depends on your duty cycle: send us your typical work cycle and we will calculate it, and see our guidance on aerial work platform maintenance for battery care. Most sites charge overnight and never think about it again.

Q4: Can it work below ground level or on slopes?
A4: Yes. The -5° to +75° boom amplitude reaches below chassis level for pits and slope faces. On the ground, the machine climbs 45% (24°) grades and crosses up to 25% (14°) lateral slope; as with all mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), ground conditions must be checked before travel.

Q5: What are the lead time, shipping terms and certification options?
A5: With a 7 150 mm transport length the machine ships on a standard trailer, typically FOB Chinese ports. Confirm the current lead time and destination-market certification (EAC / CU-TR documents are available on request) when you send an inquiry.
