A truck mounted crane, commonly known as a loader crane or crane truck, is a specialized vehicle that integrates a hydraulic crane system onto a commercial truck chassis, combining lifting and transportation capabilities in a single unit. The system is powered via a power take-off (PTO) from the vehicle engine, driving the hydraulic system for cargo lifting, rotation, and positioning. Widely used in construction, logistics, municipal maintenance, road recovery, and power repair – the ideal solution for mobile material handling.

Operating Standards

• Inspect all hose connections and seals for leaks
• Check fasteners (crossmember-to-chassis, slewing ring-to-crossmember connections)

• Verify PTO control switch and pressure gauge operation

• Check hydraulic oil and lubricant levels

• Inspect wire rope and fittings (rope clamps secure, rope in sheave grooves, wear/breakage condition)

• Check synchronization wire rope tension – adjust if loose
