Mounted Crane HOWO Chassis

The mounted crane HOWO Chassis is a multi-purpose vehicle that combines lifting and transport functions. The chassis features a three-layer through-frame design for superior load capacity and lightweight performance. It is purpose-designed to accommodate cranes from multiple brands and tonnages with minimal modification work. The powertrain is paired with a Weichai engine, HOWO transmission, and MAN-technology drive axles for proven reliability.

The HOWO crane chassis features a purpose-built design for crane installation:

4. Powertrain

Equipped with the Weichai WP8.350E61 engine with 7.8L displacement and peak torque of 1400 N·m. Paired with the HW13709XSTC2 transmission and HW70 flange PTO, offering:

• Neutral-Gear PTO Engagement: Hydraulic system can be driven while transmission is in neutral – no need to drive the vehicle

• External Start/Stop Control: PTO engagement and disengagement can be controlled from outside the cab

• Fuel-Efficient Low-Speed Operation: Lower engine RPM during PTO operation improves fuel economy and hydraulic system stability
