A folding boom crane is a hydraulically driven lifting device, belonging to the category of lifting machinery. It is widely used in various fields such as marine engineering, disaster relief, infrastructure construction, logistics and warehousing, industrial manufacturing, and power construction.
Folding boom cranes employ a telescopic boom structure and a multi-stage hydraulic linkage device, enabling continuous, unrestricted rotation and motion compensation. The maximum lifting capacity reaches 10 tons at 15 meters. In 2024, the Ocean University of China developed a marine folding boom crane that, through multi-degree-of-freedom compensation technology, overcame the operational limitations of traditional equipment in harsh sea conditions.
