Direct work refers to the method where workers directly approach live conductors using the insulated arms or ladders of the aerial work platform, wearing insulated protective gear. This method should not be called equipotential work because when wearing insulated gloves, the human body and the live conductor are not at the same potential. In live-line work on power distribution lines, regardless of whether direct or indirect work methods are used, if classified according to the worker's body potential, it falls under the category of intermediate potential work methods.
